I learn that with dividend investing it is a lot like trowing a snowball down a hill. the longer the snowball is rolling down the hill the bigger it gets. This is called the "
Snowball Effect".
Since I started this blog, I only had $8k in my portfolio that I invested. I had no more capital to add to my portfolio. This made my "snowball" roll very slow down the hill right from the start.
Since I want a big start, I took out a loan of $15k from my bank. It has a 0% APR good until July 2014 and only 3% fee for the transition. Since I had no debt at the time of this loan, I would not have any problem paying it off in about 6-8 months. This will give my portfolio $23k which is a nice start to get the "snowball effect" going.
Depending how this goes and how much I make in the next 6-8 months, I will decide if I will do this again. But for now, I am happy that I did this.
