FRIP Purchase

I added more shares to my position of Kinder Morgan Inc. (KMI).

This increases my forward 12-month dividend income by $1.68 to a total of $1,567.20

I also updated my portfolio page to reflect the change.

  1. I see that a lot of bloggers are into KMI. While I like their business I just have trouble buying into a company that has such a high payout ratio for their dividends. Are you not concern about KMI's ability to keep raising their dividends in the future or are you more focused on current yield instead?

    1. Hi DivHut, KMI is a MLP which like REIT you have to look at the free cash flow. KMI payout ratio is 41% as of 2013 from fast graph.

  2. I thought KMI is set up like a regular corporation and not like MLP like KMP etc.
