September 2014 Dividends Received:
Total dividends for the month of September: $176.21
My goal this year was to receive $2000 in dividends. With this month dividends I received $1,100.55 for the year so far. This give me a percentage of 55% completed for my goal. Since there is only three months left in the year, I have no chance of passing my goal. However, I am looking forward to December dividend income because I will pass $200 for the first time. Can't wait to see that.

Had a good month? Hope you did.

Its not a bad thing to set stretching goals and then miss out on them -- it is better than not setting any goals at all. I have found that setting stretching (yet realistic) goals helps me to focus and to change my actions so that attaining those stretching goals become more likely. The prospect of $200 in dividend income in December sounds great!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Thanks Ferdi, I agree that it good to have a goal even if it is a stretch. Cant wait to see that $200 hit my account.
DeleteCouldn't agree more with DivGro. The fact you are setting goals and aggressively pursuing them is far more important than not setting them at all. Not to mention how well you've set yourself up for future years. Just look at your forward dividend total and compare to a year ago when you were just starting. During 2015 you will have a chance to hit the $3k mark as you grow your capital base and continue reinvesting dividends you receive. Pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteVery good month!! Sorry to hear you won't hit the year goal, but you will nail it next year I'm sure. I can't wait to see the December dividends and you crossing over $200!
