I added more to my position of Kinder Morgan Inc. (KMI).
2 Shares @ 35.17
My last buy was Here on September 17.
This increases my forward 12-month dividend income by $3.28 to a total of $944.32
I also updated my portfolio page to reflect the change.
What was your recent Buy/Sell?
Nice -- I also added to my KMI position this week.
ReplyDeleteI also use Scottrade as my brokerage, but I haven't used their FRIP yet. However, once I invest all the rollover money in my Roth IRA and make my 2014 contribution -- all of which should be done by next April or May -- then I will likely turn it on so that I can reinvest dividends for the remainder of the year. I like the ability to target specific stocks for dividend reinvestment.
I was actually going to buy BP, but when I saw you got KMI, I decided to take a closer look at KMI. KMI has the biggest growth potential then BP just from looking as F.A.S.T. graph. That's why I decided to go with KMI
DeleteThe FRIP is great. It allows me to put my dividends in company that I feel are undervalue.
Thanks for stopping by :)
FFDividend,
ReplyDeleteNice to see that FRIP plan working out in your favor. Looking forward those dividends. You are making progress very fast!
Thanks Swan, Just wish I had some capital. I would be buy DE right now.
DeleteI like FRIP and use it on my Scottrade account too. Nice buy and for FREEEEEEE!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love FRIP. It makes sense to do it this way then normal DRIP. Thanks for the comment Martin.
DeleteIf your goal is to maximize and compound dividends, why aren't you using the higher yielding companies in the Kinder Morgan complex instead of KMI?
ReplyDeleteSumflow,
DeleteI am not just looking for higher yield. I am looking for high growth and dividend growth.
Wow lots of us bloggers seem to be buying KMI lately. I bought some myself last month. Nice pickup.
ReplyDeleteYea, High yield and high growth. You can't go wrong with that. :)
DeleteI really like the FRIP that Scottrade now offers and I hope that some of the other brokerages start offering something similar. I'm debating between either Scottrade or Sharebuilder for my 2nd brokerage account. I like Sharebuilder because it's easier and cheaper to DCA into positions with smaller purchase amount but Scottrade's FRIP is great. Decisions, decisions.
ReplyDeleteThat's a tough situation you are in. Once I am about $300k I will start looking at another brokerage. I hope you figure it out the one that best fits your needs.
Deletethanks to stopping by and commenting.
